ABOUT DHANBAD PUBLIC SCHOOL

Located in a tranquil atmosphere amidst the panoramic view of rich and distant mountains, the school commands a splendid environment for learning. Dhanbad Public School, Hirak Branch, sponsored by Shiksha Vikas Trust has carved out a niche for itself amongst the prominent Schools of Dhanbad. Shiksha Vikas Trust was founded in 1988 by a group of eminent elites for the purpose of spreading quality education. The Trust is a social organisation committed in and aiming at world class education that focuses on academic excellence, spiritual and physical fitness and social and environmental consciousness. Around 6-7 thousand students are educated, with the generous hands of SVT under various institutions; Dhanbad Public School (P.O. K.G. Ashram), established in 1989; KKM in 2001, extended as DPS, Hirak Branch in 2002 and Vivekananda Vidyalaya in 2003.
Kamal Katesaria Montessori is the brain child of Dr. P. N. Gutgutia who felt the need to create a special school where the method of educating would be learning while playing and to build a stress free environment for children and make their uncertain steps firm and comfortable. To support this thought members of the Silver Tulip decided to donate the land for the School. The family of Mr. Ram Prasad Katesaria extended their generous contribution for the same. Mr. Shiv Kumar Khemka took the reins in his hand for the development of the school.
In the year 2002 Kamal Katesaria Montessori was extended as Dhanbad Public School, Hirak Branch with a view that once a child ¹⁄๜ gets admitted in this school at the age of 3 or 4 years, he/she continues his/her education upto Std. XII. The building has a state of the art infrastructure with fully equipped classrooms, Audio Visual Smart Classes, Badminton court, Volleyball court and a Mini Playground Science Labs & Maths Lab, Music and Dance halls to ensure all round development of the child. The classrooms are well ventilated and the building is equipped with proper fire safety measures. The ideal teacher student ratio is maintained as 1.5:40, ascertaining to quality teaching and personalized grooming.
